Worlds Greatest Hobby on Tour 2019 update

Get a recap and videos of the first two model train shows of the season and get a preview of the upcoming show in Omaha/Council Bluffs
The first two weekends in January saw two very successful World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour model train shows. On January 5th and 6th the Schaumburg Convention Center, in suburban Chicago entertained 23,010 people.

The show featured many great model train layouts, some of which were highlighted by a young YouTuber. You can watch some of his YouTube videos below. It's great to see someone so young displaying such enthusiasm for promoting the model railroading hobby. One of the major purposes of this show is to help create the next generation of model railroaders and these videos are evidence of the success of that purpose.

The next weekend on January 12th and 13th, the show visited the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. With over 22 operating model railroads this show was visited by 24,412 people. Both shows featured many of the major manufacturers, seminars, and the Thomas the Tank Engine riding train for kids.
