Winners receive their model train layouts

The raffle of the Advent Train Garden benefits Operation Santa, a Christmas charity
Two model train layouts, built by volunteers from Annville's St. Mark Lutheran Church's Advent Train Garden project, were on display at the Lebanon Valley Mall from Thanksgiving to Dec. 23, when they were raffled off, along with other prizes. The winner of Advent Train Garden I, the larger layout, was George Lemke of 866 DeTurksville Road in Pine Grove. He also won a fifth prize of an "N" gauge train set. The winner of Advent Train Garden II, the smaller layout, was Bob Nace of 134 S. Seventh St. in Lebanon.

The Advent Train Garden project raised $5,812 to Operation Santa, a charity of the Lebanon Rescue Mission, Agape Family Shelter and Lebanon Daily News, to provide food, clothing and toys for local families in need at Christmas.
